Quality Rating System (QRS)

In child care, quality counts.

Offering high quality child care is your goal, now it's time to be recognized for it.

The Quality Counts - Quality Rating System does just that.   It offers levels which providers can achieve depending on the type of care they offer.  Specific quality criteria must be met to achieve each level.  Once a child care provider has met the criteria for a level, a QRS certificate is awarded.  Providers serving children eligible for the state Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) also receive a quality bonus to the standard reimbursement rate.  A QRS Award is an accomplishment to be shared with families and your community.  This award recognizes your efforts to provide quality child care.

Start today by attending our next free QRS Orientation:

• Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the CCRRN (3rd Floor)

The Orientation covers eligibility requirements, application process and supports and resources available.  A provider must attend this session prior to applying to QRS.  For more information contact your QRS Specialist, Kathy Neil, at (309) 828-1892 or (800) 437-8256.
